    The first run downloads the AI model. After that, most images take a few seconds, and browsers with WebGPU are faster still.

Transparent PNG
Keeps the subject and makes everything else see-through, ready to place on any background or design.
JPG on white
Puts the subject on plain white, the background many marketplaces require for product photos.

Questions

Is my image uploaded anywhere?

No. The AI model runs on your device, inside this page. The first time you use the tool, your browser downloads the model from IMG.LY's servers, but your image never leaves your computer.

Why is the first run slow?

It downloads the AI model: about 100 MB for the standard model, or about 55 MB for the smaller one. Your browser keeps it, so later images start right away.

What kinds of photos work best?

Photos with one clear subject, such as a product, person, pet, or vehicle, on a background that looks different from it. Fine hair and see-through objects may need touching up.

Is there a watermark or a limit?

No watermark, no sign-up, and no limit. The result is the same size as the image you put in.
